Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.

Heybings Desserts is a cute Korean cafe serving bingsoo, waffles, and drinks. It was nice to see plenty of seating and outlets available. The staff was kind, and the menu featured all the classic flavors. We tried the black sesame bingsoo, which was perfect for sharing but too sweet. We also sincerely appreciated the generous 20% military discount. Highly recommend!

Hello, We wanted to try this place since we are new. We went with sesame peanut butter mochi waffle and matcha ice cream for my wife and red bean waffle with vanilla ice cream. Our order came pretty quick which was good. Ambiance was friendly and clean. Waffles were warm and ice cream is mildly sweet and comfy. We got The fruit drizzle upon request. The staff were very kind & welcoming but they forgot to include a spoon for our icecreams πŸ˜‚ . Will come again. R & S

The bingsoo is really good. It doesn’t taste icy or melt too fast. They offer a variety of flavors for the bingsoo. The strawberry jam is good and they do have layers in the bingsoo. The icecream on top is nice and creamy. The ube mochi waffle is chewy and not too sweet. I wish the knife and works were better quality so it would be easier to eat the waffles. I would recommend to any wanting a late night sweet treat. The staff are friendly and provide quick service. There is also a lot of seating.

A really great spot for anyone with a sweet tooth. What won me over the most were the waffles with Nutella, especially if you ask for them extra crispy, they turn out absolutely delicious! The ice cream itself is pretty unique too, there’s some kind of jelly inside. I tried the grape flavor, and it had such a fun and unusual taste, though it melts very quickly. Luckily, they also offer the option to serve it on a plate with ice. Overall, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out.

I've now been to the Costa Mesa and Irvine locations. I loooove this spot. The shaved ice is perfect delicate sweetness and texture. Service is pretty quick, even when they're packed. Also tried the mochi waffle this time and wow wow wow. I'll be returning soon with my kids because I want them to be able to share on the epic deliciousness.
